Bob Sharpe Receives the RNLI Gold Medal Award

On Thursday 17th of May in Barbican Center in London. HRH the Duke of Kent presents Ex IWAI Chairman and RNLI Kildare Branch Chairman 'Bob Sharpe' with the prestigious RNLI Gold Medal Award.

On Tuesday 01-May-2001 it was announced at an official Function held in Dublin Castle, that Bob was to receive this prestigious award.

Please note that Una Sharp sadly passed away late in 2001 only a few months after these photographs were taken. Una had been a great pillar of support to Bob over his forty five years with the Kildare Branch of the RNLI.
